FAQS

Muy Importante!

Here's the new entry scam you've been asking about:  Referred entries pay $10 to the referrers.

On the Active entry (and printable) there's a question box to handle this.  So if Joey tells Johnny, "Enter the HolyT, you slacker, and put me down as having referred you" and Johnny actually DOES IT, Joey gets a $10 kick-back at registration, cash.  How many kick-backs can Joey get?  Up to his total entry costs (so basically Joey can get a free entry).

What if Johnny doesn't put Joey down as his referrer?  That's between Joey and Johnny.  We only kick-back what shows up on the entry form.  If I was Joey, I'd pummel Johnny anonymously in the swim.

Referral Scam Rule Update:  No Funny Business!!

First official entrant is James Winter, so as customary he gets to pick his own race number, from 2 to the little infinity symbol.

Miles P. Anderson got here yesterday (4th), mom and kid doing great, dad's wore out.

(OLDER)

Online registration is slated to begin Nov. 1, along with a semi-MLM scam for entries where you get cash back, without having to trade in anything.

Yes, Mike Lee and Andy Juneau still get free entries for life.  Ben Hall, send me an email.

Chip timing by BC/Rapides Jr. Runners, beer by my brother-in-law, and I hope food by Johnny D.  Pain by Bobo.

Sorry about any delays, my 3-year old son is going through chemo and I have another little Bobo scheduled to arrive Nov. 4, so I've been busy.

Bobo,
It doesn't matter when you have the race, it just matters that you have the race. I did the race last year and it was far and away the best tri I have ever participated in. I'm in for whenever you want to have the race.
Thanks,

Bobo,

This sucks… I always look forward to bring new people to this race to suffer…  I hope to see you and the fam this year at the HOLY T gauntlet.  I think it may rain on Oct 4st…(SLOP FEST 2)

Later from you Holy T loyal fan,

Chad Boudreaux of Belle Chasse,la

BOBO,

The show must go on. I don't care when you have the race, I will be there.
I do like the event being the first race of the year but now it will be a
good finale. Keep us posted on the website. The more epic the better.
Why not a January race or February?

  NEWZ FLASH!!        NEWZ FLASH!!

Yes, rumor has it that the Holy Toledo was voted 2007 USAT-SMW SMALL TRIATHLON OF THE YEAR!!  (I guess it's safe to say that Sperrier didn't get a vote).

Anyhoo, I didn't even know there was such an award or I would have done the Louisiana thing and paid people to vote for us, but this is even better 'cause it's FREE!   We're honored that anyone who survived our ordeal would still be coherent enough to vote for us, and would do so.

SO...WHEN TO HAVE THE RACE????

Answered!!!

Negotiations should be finalized this week as to when the park is available in the late Sept.-early Oct. timeframe, as well as reserving a block of rooms at the Cypress Bend Resort for the sissies that can't/won't camp out ("It's too cold" "There are mosquitoes" "We have newborn triplets"  wah-wah-wah, blah-blah-blah).

I know that there's an LSU game the last weekend of Sept., and there are a couple of large Tri's in Texas the first weekend of Oct., and there are lots of other reasons not to show up, but we're trying to find what works best for everyone (okay, it's really what works best for me, but I will consider the opinions of others, particularly paying customers).

For those doing IMFLA, this timeframe would do wonders for your fitness, race Sat and hit the hills again on Sunday a.m.  I knoweth, I used to do this for a living.
